Overview:
TAPAs Incident
Information System (IIS) is a web-based
application to log
transportation-related theft incidents
available to TAPA America members in
good standing.
Collection of
incident data will enable trending and
analysis. Users will have access to
monthly/quarterly reports, ad-hoc
querying/incident search capability and
flash reports (real-time e-mail
notifications of incidents meeting the
report-criteria). A full database of
freight loss information will be at your
disposal to aid in your business
decision-making processes (i.e. Loss
Prevention, Investigations, Logistics,
Risk Management, Supplier
Management/Routing, Risk Mitigation,
Countermeasures, etc.).
This information
and its respective value will grow
exponentially with active member input.
The success of this system is directly
connected to (and dependent upon) member
support and use. Timely, accurate and
complete data entry is critical to the
overall success of the project. As
such, we encourage all TAPA members to
take an active role in contributing to
the value and output of this tool.
IIS
Access:
Access to IIS will
be granted based on the following 2
conditions (in addition to acceptance of
the Terms & Conditions on the log-in
page).
Each Individual
User must be:
1. A
Formal Member of TAPA Americas;
approved and on the Membership Roster.
If you are not currently a TAPA Americas
member (company or individual), please
follow this link to the membership
application on our TAPA website:
http://www.tapaonline.org/new/engl/membership_form.html.
Note: There is now a Fast-track
membership approval process for
individuals whose companies are already
current members of TAPA.
<AND>
2. A
Member in Good Standing;
meaning annual TAPA Americas membership
dues are paid and up-to-date for that
calendar year (Corporate or Individual
Dues). If you (or your company) have
not paid the current years membership
dues, and you would like access to IIS,
please log-in to Members-Only section of
our website and select Annual Dues
from the Members Only menu to pay
membership dues. Note:
Companies/Individuals that have paid the
current years dues, and have current
IIS Access, must pay the following
years dues by March 1st (the
following year) to remain in good
standing and maintain access to IIS
(access will be removed for non-payment
of dues after March 1st).
Members
that already meet the above conditions
have been granted access and sent
detailed instructions for logging in.
If you feel youve met these conditions
and did not receive a separate, direct
communication, please advise the TAPA
Secretary (secretary@tapaonline.org).
Once the above
conditions are met, follow this link to
the IIS Tool:
www.tapaamericasiis.org.
Here, you will be able to: Request IIS
User-ID/Password (and receive the
detailed instructions for logging in),
Update profile, Report an incident
and/or Run a query/report on the
archived information.
Next
Steps (as of Launch Date):
An IIS kick-off
Training conference call will be
conducted in the upcoming weeks for
those members that have been granted
access; we will be sending details
to the IIS Access List for
participation in this training
program. Monthly Reports will be
sent out to the IIS Access List
beginning at the end of 2005 or
early 2006. Flash Reports are
currently enabled and will be sent
to the IIS Access List upon an
incident meeting the established
criteria.
This reporting system is dependant
on data being entered into the
system on a regular basis; thus, we
need incident information in order
to produce valuable IIS Reports.
Additional Functionality is
currently being developed and will
be added to the system very soon.
Scheduled upgrades include
downloadable reports in MS Excel.
On behalf of
the IIS Committee and TAPA Americas
BOD, thank you again for your
contribution and participation in
this important and valuable project!
