The Supply Chain Security Project Manager will be a key member of the Global Security Strategic Product Solutions team assisting with supply chain security planning, coordination, execution, as well as engaging with internal partners to align expectations and support confidential projects. Duties will include performing audits, coordinating with 3PL providers, and ensuring compliance with all security program requirements.

BRIGHTSTAR 
POSITION:

DESCRIPTION:
In this role, you will manage security across our North America facilities, in addition to influencing security measures globally. You will focus on security and loss prevention operations at all warehouse and office locations, including a new warehouse in Dallas.  You will run the implementation of all marine cargo insurance security requirements for warehousing and ground/air conveyance distribution operations within North America, along with executing the Brightstar Supply Chain Security Concept governing distribution operations. Other responsibilities include management of our supply chain security audit program in accordance with TAPA standards to identify security deficiencies and vulnerabilities within distribution operations. Using your experience, relationships and security savvy, you will provide ongoing, daily support to regional management by ensuring the proper execution of security and loss prevention protocols in support of their operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and manage security & loss prevention policies associated with the transport and warehousing of cargo to ensure protection against damage and theft.
  • Identify all issues and risks as related to facilities security, to which the company's people and/or assets may be exposed. Conduct risk analysis to determine whether they can be eliminated or minimized.
  • Monitor cargo losses both in-transit and on-site on a region-wide level so that corrective actions can be taken to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Coordinate directly with transportation security service provider to monitor compliance with security requirements and perform risk analysis for North America distribution routes and third-party logistic partner locations.
  • In collaboration with North America Operations and Transportation managers, conduct security audits of new logistics and transportation service providers operations and warehouse locations to ensure compliance with security standards.
  • Manage contract guard force operation, access control, alarm, and CCTV systems in support of company operations.
  • Have a leading role on the Crisis Management Team in support of local management to formulate crisis management policy and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of professional and industry practices and governmental regulations; utilize this knowledge to recommend and propose internal policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated knowledge of distribution center and logistic security operations for high value products susceptible to theft and pilferage. 
  • Ability to conduct threat and risk analysis in support of operations either at new locations or with new logistic service providers. 
  • Ability to conduct and lead investigations related to product theft and pilferage.
  • First-hand experience with the management of outsourced security providers such as contract guard force and alarm/CCTV system monitoring and maintenance to include invoicing and budgeting.
  • Working knowledge of electronic security system operation to include access control, CCTV, alarm systems and GPS tracking in support of ground logistic operations.  
  • Solid communication skills; verbal, written and the delivery of security/loss prevention related presentations to Company Management.
  • Project planning skills to include Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of marine cargo insurance operations a plus 
  • 10+ years of experience in corporate security
  • Experience elaborating Crisis Management & Emergency Response procedures in collaboration with company management team
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
