Shippers’ Rights & Privacy Law in Canada

Presenter: Alan Cofman, Partner, Loopstra Nixon LLP

Alan S. Cofman is a partner at the downtown Toronto office of Loopstra Nixon LLP. Although he is licensed in British Columbia and Ontario, his transportation law practice takes him from coast to coast in Canada. With twenty years of experience, he has acted for all interested parties in transport and logistics, including shippers, carriers, consignees, forwarders, brokers, warehousers, insurers, and others. His work primarily includes dispute resolution, regulatory and compliance issues, and risk mitigation. Over the years, Alan has appeared in trial-level courts from BC to Nova Scotia; in the Courts of Appeal for BC and Ontario; and in the Canadian Federal Court of Appeal.
