TAPA Cyber Security Standards

The goal of these Standards is to mitigate cyber risks in the supply chain by developing a global standard that recognizes reasonable levels of cyber security, vendor risk assessments, incident response plans, and secured third-party vendor relationships. The Standards lay out a minimum set of requirements that provide a baseline for a supply chain cyber security program. Organizations of all sizes may apply the principles and best practices of cyber risk management to improve the supply chain security and resiliency in their critical infrastructure. (Click here for press release.)

These standards are intended to be single-level and linked to a certification in the TAPA Facility Security Requirements (FSR) Standard or the TAPA Trucking Security Requirements (TSR) Standard. Accordingly, to request certification under the CSS, an applicant must already be certified by a TAPA-approved independent audit body to FSR Level A or TSR Level 1. Or the applicant can pursue certification simultaneously with the FSR or TSR.
